E H Taylor Whiskey Price In United States

E.H. Taylor Bourbon is a name synonymous with American whiskey, a bourbon so rich in history and renowned for its purity that whiskey lovers around the world adore raising a glass to it. E.H. Taylor Whiskey was given the moniker of Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., an individual who played a major part in creating and moulding bourbon into the widely recognised drink we see today, someone who also represented both his era and shaping its future.

The History of E.H. Taylor Whiskey

E.H. Taylor Jr. was up until recently one of Bourbon’s most unsung men, but he is probably also one of the important men in shaping what we drink today. Born in 1832, Taylor wasn’t content with simply coming up with whiskey innovations and financing them as most businessmen do; even today he actually ran the distillery.

Taylor Whiskey

Taylor made some of the first real improvements to American whiskey production. He started using copper stills, and while both copper and its vapors are undesirable to a distiller (hence why they’re more often seen polished than dull in working whiskey distilleries), copper doesn’t react and nothing dissolves into it.

With a wealthy family fortune behind him, he built one of the grandest distilleries along the Kentucky River and named it after his great-uncle Edmund Haynes Taylor Sr., a famed politician who became renowned for fighting to clean up Bourbon’s sanitary conditions after many were maimed or lost to diseases that sprang from filth in distilleries.

He also has another important distinction: That insistence led Congress to pass the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which prevented “rampant adulteration” that occurred when fillers like iodine, tobacco‐juice, prune juice and cochineal insects (even dead rats!) found their way into cheap whiskies tainting other whiskies stored in less-than-ideal storage environments.

So expect intense notes of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, and spice.

The single barrel expression is stronger in flavor than the small batch. They are bottled from a single barrel, so everyone has a different taste to it. It’s deep and complex, with notes of dried fruits, vanilla, and toasted oak. Definitely full-bodied.

For those whiskey drinkers who constantly seek out something new, wondrous, and unique to try, these limited edition E.H. Taylor iterations are just the order of the day.

E.H. Taylor Straight Rye

E.H. Taylor Amaranth

E.H. Taylor Amaranth A very rare and unique offering, E.H. Taylor Amaranth is made with the special grain called amaranth being used to substitute some of the traditional corn in the mash bill. The result is a uniquely flavored bourbon, slightly spicier and more herbaceous than traditional bourbons but with all of the richness and smoothness you’d expect from an E.H. Taylor.

As the name suggests, this bourbon is made with a mash bill containing four grains, corn, rye, wheat and malted barley. A smooth-tasting Bourbon whiskey with flavours of vanilla and toffee along with a touch of spice.
