Early Life

LiAngelo Ball was born on November 24, 1998, in Anaheim, California. His father’s name is LaVar Ball, and his mother’s name is Tina Ball. He has two younger brothers named Lonzo and LaMelo.

His father, LaVar, played college basketball, so he began to train all his sons from a young age with the goal of making them professional basketball players. LiAngelo enrolled at Chino Hills High School.

He had an amazing freshman year on the varsity basketball team, winning a state championship alongside his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo, where he quickly became known for his scoring ability.

Basketball Career

UCLA and International Stint

LiAngelo was set to play college basketball at UCLA but got into legal trouble after being arrested for shoplifting during a team trip to China in 2017. He subsequently left the school before playing his first game.

After leaving UCLA, LiAngelo signed with Prienai, a pro team in Lithuania, in 2018. There he played for a few months in the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and scored well but struggled defensively.

NBA G League and Charlotte Hornets

LiAngelo declared for the 2018 NBA Draft but went undrafted. However, he continued to train and eventually signed with the Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Later, in 2021, he played with the Charlotte Hornets Summer League team, and later on, he joined their G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.

While he may not have a spot on an NBA team, LiAngelo is still a fairly visible basketball personality thanks to his family and his ongoing pursuit of the professional dream.

Contracts and Endorsements

That’s because LiAngelo’s contract is by far the most modest. His older brothers earned millions in NBA contracts. But after he went undrafted, LiAngelo has been making money playing basketball and signing endorsement deals, earning a living outside of the United States. Here’s our understanding of his revenue streams:

  • Lithuanian League contract (Prienai)
  • G League contracts (Greensboro Swarm, Oklahoma City Blue)
  • Big Baller Brand (family-owned business)
  • Endorsement deals and business ventures

His earnings have been modest compared to his brothers, but he continues to work in basketball and business, which keeps his financial portfolio growing.

Personal Life

LiAngelo Ball made headlines, not just for his basketball career, but also for his personal life. He was reported to be in a relationship with social media influencer Jaden Owens and later with Nikki Mudarris, a reality TV star.

Real Estate

Given the Ball family’s financial success, LiAngelo has had the means to live in luxury properties. He doesn’t own massive estates like LaMelo, but he has resided in some of the Ball family’s many high-end properties, including their home in Chino Hills. There have been reports suggesting that LiAngelo could have also ventured into real estate with his family.
